About The President's Fellowship

The President’s Fellowship is a flagship mentorship and leadership development program launched by the Global Peace Foundation Kenya in 2020. Rooted in the values of moral and innovative leadership, the Fellowship serves as a transformative platform for nurturing a new generation of accountable, visionary, and impactful leaders across Kenya and Africa.

Each year, we bring together 100 talented young leaders from all 47 counties of Kenya through a competitive selection process. These individuals embark on a journey of rigorous leadership training, mentorship by esteemed African leaders, community service, and experiential learning activities designed to develop their capacity to address real-world challenges.

Our program emphasizes practical and impactful approaches to leadership, including initiatives such as community service projects, dialogues with established leaders, and experiential activities that promote teamwork, innovation, and critical thinking. The President’s Fellowship culminates in a prestigious summit where fellows share their experiences, insights, and solutions to pressing societal issues.

Through initiatives like the One Million Tree Campaign and other sustainability programs, we inspire young leaders to contribute meaningfully to environmental conservation, peacebuilding, and community development. By equipping fellows with the tools, skills, and networks they need, we aim to build a foundation for inclusive growth, cohesion, and lasting peace.

At the President’s Fellowship, we are committed to shaping the leaders of today and tomorrow—leaders who will transform their communities and redefine Africa’s future.
